Mass Effect inspired amigurumi - Liara T'soni by ninjapoupon Mass Effect inspired amigurumi - Liara T'soni by ninjapoupon
My amigurumi version of your favorite shadowbroker! (unless you like Yagh better...) I was feeling like making a character and didn't have skin color yarn left, and that's how I ended up making a Liara doll. Took me about 15 hours to make and design.

Have you made a pattern for this yet? I would love to make one for my husband. Who doesn't love a free pattern, but I would totally pay for the pattern if it wasn't free.

So cute, such a shame it is sold already. Not that I expected otherwise, who doesn't love Liara.

I can't speak on the crochet pattern dilemma, but I'll admit I'm shocked by how cute you made Liara here. Oh, the wonders of yarn.

SO ADORABLE! :3 <3 <3 <3

I tried to teach myself amigurumi crochet and failed miserably >_< I tried watching youtube and stuff, which helped...but I think maybe I was using the wrong kind of yarn. It was acrylic but it just went all fuzzy and frizzy was like impossible to use. So, I ramble all of this to ask you if you have any yarn suggestions for a beginner :D

Actually i started crochet not so long ago, not even a year. It was during my maternity leave. I used that book for learning [link] and it was great and easy to follow. Except for the infamous magic ring. Had to work super hard to get it right.

For the yarn type, I heard that a lot of people hate working with acrylic for the same reasons as you. They say they use cotton thread instead, so maybe that's what you need.

You should really keep trying, it's a really fun hobby and you can easily do it in the bus! :) (i get sick when reading so it's a good alternative...^^)

awesome! Thanks so much :3 I'm saving that book so I can go back to it. And I'll buy some cotton yarn. It's so awesome you're so good and haven't done even a year! That's really impressive.

I need a good, relaxing hobby and I thought crochet would be perfect so I'm going to try again. Also, I get sick reading in cars and things too, so this would be perfect for long rides!

Thanks again! <3
