My amigurumi version of your favorite shadowbroker! (unless you like Yagh better...) I was feeling like making a character and didn't have skin color yarn left, and that's how I ended up making a Liara doll. Took me about 15 hours to make and design.
I put it on sale in my etsy shop if you're insterested. [link]
I'm also making the crochet pattern with pictures for this doll.
Now I have a dilemma. I started making crochet patterns for people to buy, but I feel like I should instead make them available for free and, if people like them, they can donate whatever they want. What is your opinion on that?
I tried to teach myself amigurumi crochet and failed miserably >_< I tried watching youtube and stuff, which helped...but I think maybe I was using the wrong kind of yarn. It was acrylic but it just went all fuzzy and frizzy was like impossible to use. So, I ramble all of this to ask you if you have any yarn suggestions for a beginner
Actually i started crochet not so long ago, not even a year. It was during my maternity leave. I used that book for learning [link] and it was great and easy to follow. Except for the infamous magic ring. Had to work super hard to get it right.
For the yarn type, I heard that a lot of people hate working with acrylic for the same reasons as you. They say they use cotton thread instead, so maybe that's what you need.
You should really keep trying, it's a really fun hobby and you can easily do it in the bus! (i get sick when reading so it's a good alternative...^^)
Faved.
